Terms of Service — Open Book

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Open Book mobile application and its related services ("the App"), published by Reno Labs, LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. What the App Does

Open Book lets you block adult content and the apps, app categories and websites you choose on your own iPhone, using Apple's Screen Time controls. You choose your blocking settings, app exceptions and pauses. You can stop basic blocking at any time. If you turn on Strict mode, the App won't end blocking until the lock period you chose is over, or it makes you wait longer before blocking stops. You can still turn off Open Book's Screen Time access in iPhone Settings at any time, which also ends a lock. Your blocking choices, activity log and weekly recap stay on your device. Open Book is for managing your own iPhone; it is not a parental-monitoring tool. Open Book does not guarantee that any content will be blocked in all circumstances, or that blocking will resume at an exact time after a pause.

3. Eligibility

The App is intended for adults.

4. Your Account

The App creates a minimal account for your device, without an email address or password. It is used to restore purchases and to delete your account. You can delete it at any time in the App under Settings > Account & subscription.

5. Purchases, Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal & Cancellation

Basic blocking is free. Strict mode is an optional purchase, billed to your Apple ID at the price shown in the App before you buy. It comes as an auto-renewing subscription or, where the App offers it, a one-time Lifetime purchase. Lifetime is a single payment and never renews. Use Restore purchases to get it back on a device signed in to the same Apple ID. Buying Lifetime does not cancel a subscription you already have; cancel that yourself as described below. If the App offers a free trial, it becomes a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time: open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store Terms of Sale.

6. Apple Standard EULA

The Apple Standard EULA also applies to your use of the App.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or attempt to circumvent the App's security mechanisms, and not to use the App in any unlawful manner.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, content, and trademarks are owned by Reno Labs and protected by applicable law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App for your own non-commercial use.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that blocking will be effective in every circumstance.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reno Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Changes to the App and Terms

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. When we change these Terms, we will update the "Effective date" above and post the revised version at this URL. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Reno Labs is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
